A historical gem with challenges
The Carrington Hotel's old-world charm captivated me instantly. I reveled in the romantic ambiance and the good continental breakfast with good pastries and fresh fruits.
The lack of air-conditioning was good. I struggled with heavy luggage up the stairs, and the noise insulation was lacking, disturbing my sleep.

The rooms are good value for money and well decorated and have absolutely stunning views over the valley and mountains. Genuinely helpful personnel is at reception desk. The location is central. It takes 15 mins to get to a bus station.

We enjoyed the spacious room, but the service at the bar was heaps slow, and the continental breakfast could've had more options. The staff were lovely, though!

The venue itself, richly historic and gorgeously preserved, was the most significant reason for choosing the Carrington. We were also very pleased with the amenities and service offered there.

Have stayed here for The Ukele Festival for the last two years and must say that the Staff are wonderful at looking at over a couple of hundred over 40s Ukele players. We share a traditional room with ensuite. Continental breakfast included. Have also stayed during the Writers Festival in bedroom with shared bathroom down hallway, cheaper but prefer own ensuite. Lovely soup served for lunch during Writers Festival.
Comfortable beds, lift old but mostly reliable. Great little bar and lovely rooms for guests to sit and relax. Great afternoon tea on verandah.
Some of ensuite bathrooms have the shower in the spa which makes getting and out difficult. Continental breakfast average.

I like the location of the hotel.
I didn't like the old facilities and the poor availability of the staff. The value of the Hotel is their antique look, but their facilities are very old and didn'tt has propper maintenance. It consider the Hotel it is not a four stars one.

I thoroughly enjoyed its very pleasant and really good employees.
The location was great, for example, Blue Mountains was not too far from the hotel. Savoury and plentiful breakfast and other services were exceptional.

Charming old historic hotel with great atmosphere
Having dinner in the formal dinning room was a great disapointment as we found the meal overpriced and very ordinary

heritage architecture, unique communal spaces, charming ballroom
Stairs throughout made hauling bags annoying. The musty smell in shared areas was off-putting. Limited options for enjoying the front verandah left us feeling restricted in relaxing.

looking at the decor and the public rooms, and the cocktails in charlies bar.
stayed in a shared bathroom room, and would have appreciated a jug of water in the fridge, instead of bottles I had to purchase and or a walk to the shared bathrooms esp in middle of thenight with tickly throat.

Charming, Charming, Charming
This beautiful hotel radiates old-world charm, from its fine stained glass windows to the plush interiors. I particularly loved the large, comfortable Premier Double Room that was just like a cozy sanctuary after a chilly day exploring the local sights. Each morning started deliciously with a good continental breakfast that set the perfect vibe for my adventures.
Strongly recommend ❤️✨
